Following the commissioning of No. 1 dry quencher on July 20, 2021, the No. 2 dry quencher was successfully commissioned on November 24!

To support the client in achieving the new coke oven project’s production target and facing challenges of limited space at the No. 2 dry quencher site and the tight schedule, Song Mingjiang, Deputy General Manager of Huatai, visited the site project office on September 12 to make key arrangements for the subsequent work. The project team conscientiously implemented these directives and actively organized construction. With strong support from company leadership and all departments, they overcame difficulties and worked late into the night to enable No.2 Dry Quencher to start up six days ahead of schedule, meeting the new coke oven’s production target and increasing daily coke output from 75 to 86 pushes.

The project team will expedite the completion of remaining tasks, summarize the lessons learned from this project, and bring this first collaboration between Huatai and a major central state-owned enterprise to a successful conclusion.
