On October 9, 2020, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 170 t/h coke dry quenching (CDQ) project at Pengfei Group’s Xinyu facility undertaken by Huatai, was held with great fanfare at the Xinyu Coking Plant. This project marks another major collaboration between our company and Xiaoyi Pengfei Industrial Co., Ltd., following the signing of the 2×170 t/h CDQ project.

Chairman Xu Lie and Deputy General Manager Song Mingjiang of Huatai, and Pengfei Group’s leadership including Executive President Zhang Xiaodong, Operations Director Tan Yingzhong, Vice President and General Manager of the Coal Division Zhang Xuanming, Vice President and General Manager of Supply and Marketing Li Yang, Vice President and General Manager of Finance Wang Zili, Vice President, Chief Project Commander, and General Manager of Engineering Projects Tian Zhengguo, Assistant General Manager of Coking Li Xiuting, Deputy General Manager of Administration Lü Xiaofang, and Chief Commander of the Coke Dry Quenching Project Guo Fengguang attended the ceremony. Ma Xiaolong, Assistant to the President of Pengfei Group, presided over the ceremony.

On August 20, Unit 1 of the 2×170 t/h CDQ project at Xiaoyi Pengfei Industrial Co., Ltd. undertaken by our company successfully commenced operations. This project is the first CDQ facility to be completed and put into operation in Xiaoyi City, marking the entry of the city’s coking industry into the era of dry quenching. It serves as a model and leader in enhancing environmental protection and achieving high-quality development in Xiaoyi’s coking industry. In September, Huatai was once again awarded the EPC contract for the construction of a new 170 t/h CDQ project at Pengfei Group’s Xinyu coking Plant with its scope of work covering one 170 t/h CDQ unit (including a high-temperature, high-pressure CDQ boiler), a steam turbine power plant, an air-cooled island, and corresponding supporting facilities. The total construction period is 15 months.

The commencement of construction on Pengfei Group’s Xinyu CDQ project demonstrates Pengfei Group’s full trust in our company and its approval of the coke dry quenching projects we have already brought online. It marks a new milestone in our partnership with Pengfei Group and lays a solid foundation for expanding into the Xiaoyi and the broader Shanxi market.
