On July 4, 2020, Chairman Xu Lie and his delegation paid an official courtesy call on the leaders of the Anshan High-Tech Zone Administrative Committee, including Fan Jingguo, Secretary of the High-Tech Zone Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the development of Huatai Huanneng Technology Co., Ltd. in Anshan and the construction of its design and R&D center.

First, General Manager Han Dong provided a detailed overview of the company’s development history, scientific research achievements, current status, future development direction, and IPO preparations. Chairman Xu Lie emphasized the company’s future development direction, noting that the construction of the design and R&D center and the company’s IPO would serve as milestone events in the company’s history. He also highlighted that numerous original scientific and technological achievements would help propel the company to new heights and enable it to achieve its goal of becoming a “world-class engineering and technology company” as soon as possible.

Secretary Fan expressed full recognition of the company’s outstanding achievements during its rapid growth over the past decade, particularly the nearly 1.2 billion yuan in contracts signed during the first half of 2020 despite the pandemic, and expressed his hope that the company would continue to grow in scale and capacity with Anshan as its base while making greater contributions to its hometown. Secretary Fan expressed keen interest in the company’s heat-exchange two-stage coke oven, smart manufacturing in coking, vertical heat-recovery coke oven, and more than 180 patented innovations. He encouraged the company to continue fostering a spirit of innovation under the guiding principles of scientific and technological innovation, strive to commercialize research outcomes as soon as possible, and make new contributions to the coking industry and the course of environmental protection.

Subsequently, Shi Xuefeng, the project manager, gave a brief report on the construction progress of Huatai’s Design and R&D Center and its supporting facilities. Secretary Fan extended a warm welcome to the project’s establishment in the High-Tech Zone, pledged the Zone’s strong support and cooperation for the Huatai project, and provided detailed instructions for various functional departments to actively cooperate with the project’s approval and construction procedures. He also issued important directives regarding the project’s quality and HSE requirements.

Finally, Secretary Fan set higher standards for Huatai, expressing the hope that it would create a new urban landmark for Anshan City, fully embodying the principles of government-enterprise collaboration, close Party-public ties, and mutual benefit. Both sides had high hopes for future development, and Chairman Xu Lie reaffirmed that the company would actively respond to the government’s call and policy guidance. The meeting concluded in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.
